What the Two Chambers Actually Do

How to Use

1. Fill until the outlet of the internal downstem sits just below the water surface in the base. Start lower than you think you need; you can always add.
2. Check the mid chamber. If the perc head is not sitting under water, add a little more through the mouthpiece until it is just covered. Overfilling it makes the draw stiff and can push water up the neck.
3. Load the 14mm bowl, seat it in the joint, and draw while lighting. Keep the draw even and steady rather than pulling hard at the start.
4. Empty the water after every session. Two chambers mean two places for standing water to sit and go stale.

How to Clean

1. Empty the water and rinse both chambers with warm water. Do this before anything else — resin sets harder once it dries.
2. Pour in 1/2 cup isopropyl alcohol (91%+) plus 2 tbsp coarse salt, plug the mouthpiece and the joint, and shake for 60 seconds.
3. Let it stand for a few minutes, then shake again. The perc head and the base are the two places resin collects, and the salt is what scrubs them.
4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Never boiling, and never straight after the piece has been sitting in the sun — a sudden extreme temperature swing is the one thing that reliably cracks glass.
5. Keep abrasives off the outside. No scouring pads, steel wool or abrasive cream on the iridescent layer; a soft cloth and mild soap is all it needs.

How tall is it?

15 inches, or 38 cm, from the base to the rim of the mouthpiece. It is the tallest piece we stock and it does not fit in a standard 10-inch case or cabinet slot.

Is the rainbow real colored glass?

No. The iridescent layer is applied to the outside of the glass, and the inside of every chamber is plain clear glass. That is why you can see through the body and watch the water. Colored-through glass is a different process; our blue recycler is made that way.

Will the finish come off?

Not from normal use. It does not survive abrasion, though, so keep scouring pads, steel wool and abrasive cleaners off the outside, and wash it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Follow that and the color shift stays.

Does it come with a bowl?

Yes. One 14mm male bowl with a handle is included. Screens are not included.

Can I use my own bowl?
